Uzbekistan and South Korea plan strategic partnership expansion in trade and economic sectors
On July 26, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Won Do-Yeon.

According to the MIIT, at the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of relations and measures for further expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
Agreements were reached on taking mutual measures to increase the volume of bilateral trade and establish partnerships between the business structures of the two countries. Efforts will also be intensified to identify and promptly address problems and factors hindering the development of mutual trade relations.
Both sides welcomed the opening of a representative office of South Korea's Gyeonggi-do Province in Tashkent, which will help strengthen interregional cooperation by leveraging the benefits and preferences created in Uzbekistan to support investment activities.
Separately, the prospects for deepening interaction with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF) were considered.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to expand partnership relations and developed a format for comprehensive practical interaction within the framework of accelerated implementation of the discussed areas of cooperation.
