According to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's decree on July 18, which focuses on improving tourism infrastructure and increasing the flow of foreign tourists, a new national tourism brand will be developed for Uzbekistan.
The purpose of creating the new brand is to promote Uzbekistan's tourism product in international and domestic tourism markets and to further strengthen its image as a safe country for travel and leisure.
The Tourism Committee has been instructed to hold a competition to create it by October 1.
The launch of the first global tourism media campus is scheduled for International Tourism Day (September 27).
In 2024-2025, it is planned to attract up to 50 foreign journalists, bloggers, vloggers, and influencers with an audience of more than 10 million.
From January 1, 2025, entrepreneurs who organize business events in Uzbekistan with at least 100 foreign participants for at least 3 days will pay profit tax on the income earned from these business events at a 50% reduced rate compared to the established tax rate until January 1, 2028.
