Bilateral trade volume between Uzbekistan and Thailand surged by 170% in H1
Acting Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulomov met with the Thai delegation led by Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bussadi Santipitaks.

According to the MIIT Telegram channel, the delegation included heads of such large Thai companies as Samitivej Hospital, PTT Oil and Retail, Thai President Food, Siang Heng, Marine Tech International, CTI Logistics and Anita Silk Company.
The Thai side expressed gratitude for providing a visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan for up to 60 days.
Positive results are shown by the growth rate of mutual trade between the two countries – in the first half of this year, the volume of mutual trade increased by 170%. The importance of taking measures to increase the number of joint investment projects and bring trade turnover to 500 million USD in the near future was noted.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on the development of a plan of joint measures for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, including, among other things, the implementation of joint projects in the fields of agriculture, tourism, the food industry, the production of textiles and electrical products.
