In the 1.3 billion UZS state procurement held by UzAuto Motors JSC on July 8, 2024, companies belonging to close relatives participated and won.
This situation was confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Agency after a report on the "Revisor" Telegram channel.
According to the Agency, the procurement commission violated several requirements of the "State Procurement Law," and therefore, a submission was made to the customer to cancel the procurement results.
The official statement reads, "The documents collected during the investigation were sent to law enforcement agencies for legal action against the guilty parties."
According to "Revisor," the state procurement was related to "purchasing parts for the front doors of cars produced by UzAuto Motors JSC."
A total of two commercial bids were submitted for the tender, and according to the procurement commission's July 8 protocol, "Eko Tsem Komplekt Oborudovanie" LLC was selected as the winner with a bid of 1.3 billion UZS, and "Eko Lit Metall" LLC was named the backup winner.
According to open sources, the backup winner "Eko Lit Metall" is led and solely founded by Anvarjon Mutalipov, who may have previously owned a 50% stake in "Eko Tsem Komplekt Oborudovanie" LLC.
The sole founder of the tender winner "Eko Tsem Komplekt Oborudovanie" LLC is Feruza Askarova, and the company's director is Abdurahim Askarov.
The personal pages of these two company leaders and founders on social networks indicate that they may be close relatives. As noted above, the Anti-Corruption Agency confirmed this assumption.
