At the meeting, issues related to further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ILO were discussed.

The ILO Director-General expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly praised Uzbekistan's achievements in ensuring workers' rights, creating jobs, and implementing international conventions. In this regard, he described his visit as a gesture of support for the effective reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that the ILO sees Uzbekistan’s experience as a successful model for international study and application. Uzbekistan's election to the ILO Administrative Council in June 2024 was a recognition of this.

"In recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ILO has reached a qualitatively new level. With the support of the organization, more than 40 regulatory documents have been adopted in the field of labor in Uzbekistan, and 22 international conventions have been ratified. The importance of joint measures to promote the principles of social justice, including within the framework of the 'Global Coalition for Social Justice,' was noted," the report stated.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop and adopt a new country program for 2026−2030.
