Tax revenues increased by 12.5% in H1 2024
Payments for property, land and profit taxes increased the most.

In the first half of the year, tax revenues in Uzbekistan increased by 12.5%, the press service of the Tax Committee reports.
In the first six months, tax payments amounted to 85.8 trillion UZS. In the regions, revenues increased by 24.4%, and in the districts – by 37%.
The most significant increases were in property tax collections (an increase of 37.6% year-on-year) and land tax (31.2%). The increase in tax on the use of water resources was 21%, on turnover - by 19%, as well as on personal income – by 18%.
In the regions, income tax payments increased by 32.3%, VAT – by 20.6%. 23.1 trillion UZS were transferred to the pension fund, which is 16% more compared to the same period last year.
In addition, for omissions in work, the Tax Committee fired 25 employees, demoted 15 people, and also disciplined 150 tax specialists.
In the third quarter, it is planned to increase tax revenues by at least 20%. An increase in income will be facilitated by the search for additional sources, reduction of the shadow economy and the fight against corruption.
