According to the president's press service, in his message, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the multifaceted and long-term partnership between the two countries will reach a higher level in all priority areas.
"We are interested in the further consistent and effective expansion of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication, and cultural-humanitarian spheres with your country, which has great potential and capabilities and has been dynamically developing in recent years," the message said.
It is worth noting that the previous president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, died in a helicopter crash in May of this year. In the second round of presidential elections held after Ebrahim Raisi's death, the candidate from the reformist wing, Masoud Pezeshkian, won. He received 53.3% of the votes, while his opponent, conservative Saeed Jalili, received 44.3%.
