After this, the situation was taken under special control by the Children’s Ombudsman, and a pre-investigation check was carried out at the Karakul district police department.
During the study, it was established that citizen A.A., born in 2008 in the Shafirkan district, and R.N. (born in 2007), a native of the Karakul district, held a wedding ceremony by mutual consent of the two families.
On July 2, 2024, documents on administrative liability under Article 47-3 of the Civil Code (Violation of the law on marriageable age or marriage procedure) in relation to the parents of minors N.S. and N.K. sent to court.
According to Article 15 of the Family Code, the age of marriage for men and women is set at 18 years. Violation of this legal requirement is completely contrary to the rights of the child to education, healthcare, as well as to harmonious physical, mental and spiritual development,” the report of the Children’s Ombudsman reads.
