State budget deficit exceeded 34 trillion soums in H1 2024

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in January of this year, state budget revenues amounted to 16 trillion 159.9 billion soums, and expenses to 21 trillion 926.7 billion soums. The difference between budget revenues and expenses is 5 trillion 766.8 billion soums.

In February, state budget revenues were 16 trillion 908.9 billion soums, and expenses were 24 trillion 137.1 billion soums. The negative difference is 7 trillion 228.1 billion soums.

In March, state budget revenues were 17 trillion 457.2 billion soums, and expenses were 24 trillion 307.1 billion soums. The negative difference is 6 trillion 850 billion soums.

In April, state budget revenues were 19 trillion 286.1 billion soums, and expenses were 25 trillion 27.2 billion soums. The negative difference is 5 trillion 741.1 billion soums.

In May, state budget revenues were 22 trillion 749 billion soums, and expenses were 26 trillion 565.2 billion soums. The negative difference is 3 trillion 816.2 billion soums.

In June, state budget revenues were 23 trillion 233.4 billion soums, and expenses were 27 trillion 879.9 billion soums. The negative difference is 4 trillion 646.5 billion soums.

In general, the state budget deficit for the past six months amounted to 34 trillion 49 billion soums. For comparison, in the first half of 2023, the state budget deficit was 26.8 trillion soums.

Consolidated budget revenue and expenditure reports have not yet been released.

According to the law on the state budget for 2024, state budget revenues are forecast to be 270.4 trillion soums, and expenditures are 280.7 trillion soums.

The deficit of the consolidated budget (in addition to the state budget, it also includes state special funds, the Reconstruction and Development Fund, and off-budgetary funds of budget organizations) is limited to 52.6 trillion soums or 4% of GDP.
