The Russian Trade Mission recalled that in May the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Gazpromneft company adopted a roadmap to expand cooperation.
The contract for the supply of gas from Russia to Uzbekistan was concluded in June 2023. According to the agreement, gas supplies to Uzbekistan began in October, the daily volume is 9 million cubic meters, the annual volume is about 2.8 billion cubic meters.
In February, it was reported that Uzbekistan would quadruple the volume of gas it receives from Russia by modernizing the northern system of gas pipelines, for which $500 million will be allocated.
In addition, Gazprom plans to begin supplying significantly larger volumes of gas to Central Asian countries through the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline by November 1, 2025.
