The International Center for Seismology was founded in Great Britain in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO. The main task of the center is to collect and analyze the entire set of earthquakes that occurred around the world. To date, ISC has established cooperation with 71 research institutes and seismological centers in 47 developed countries.
The Ambassador spoke in detail about the progress of implementation of the National Action Plan of Uzbekistan to reduce the risk of natural disasters and increase resilience to climate change for 2023-2030.
Issues of cooperation in the areas of reducing the risk of natural disasters and their forecasting through earthquake analysis were discussed.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on establishing permanent cooperation and exchange of information in the scientific field between the relevant departments of Uzbekistan and ISC.
