During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) on June 13, the head of the republic's government announced that a meeting of the leaders of the three countries is planned for August. At the same time, according to his words, an official inauguration ceremony for the start of work is expected to take place.

Japarov highlighted that last week, the transport ministers of China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on the line project. The document outlines the principles and mechanisms of cooperation, including financing.

"Finally, the project that will transform our country into a major trade and manufacturing hub has started to materialize," said Japarov.

On June 6, the head of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport, Ilhom Makhkamov, indicated that a concession agreement for the railway, which will determine the terms of financing by the states, will soon be concluded. According to him, the foundation stone is planned to be laid in October.

Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov had announced a similar timeline in May. According to him, the upcoming line will become a "window to the world" for the republic.
