The project is planned to be implemented on a previously approved territory near Lake Tuzkon in the Forish district (Jizzakh region), where the issue of locating a large nuclear power plant was initially considered.

The commissioning of the first reactor of a small nuclear power plant will take place 60 months (5 years) after the completion of priority work, which should begin this summer.
Each subsequent reactor will be put into operation within six months. Full commissioning of a small nuclear power plant with six reactors should be carried out before 2033.
