Uzbekistan delegation takes part in meeting of Women Leaders Dialogue of Central Asia in Bishkek
The delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, took part in the meeting of the Central Asian Women Leaders Dialogue held in Bishkek on the topic “The role of women in the economy of Central Asian countries: leadership to promote digital, social and environmental innovation”.

According to the information service of the upper house of Parliament, the event was attended by parliamentarians from Central Asian countries, the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, representatives of government bodies, international and non-governmental organizations, business and the expert community.
This Dialogue, organized in 2021 at the initiative of Uzbekistan, is an important platform for strengthening cooperation between women leaders in the region. In 2021-2023, the Dialogue carried out its activities under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
During the event, topics such as “Creative economy: women innovators and inventors of Central Asia - new solutions”, “Green” economy: the role of women in promoting social and environmental innovation” and “Digital economy: women and digital solutions” were discussed.
Proposals for regional cooperation in these areas were actively discussed, participants shared positive experiences in their countries and an agreement was reached on jointly taken measures.
In addition, at the end of the event, the participants approved the Action Plan of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia, envisaged for the period of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in 2024.
