Funding for Paris Games: Uzbekistan commits 73 billion UZS to athletes' prep
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan has allocated over 73 billion UZS to support 20 sports federations and associations in their preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, including the purchase of specialized equipment for the national team, medical and biological support, and costs associated with participating in prestigious tournaments and championships.

For the first quarter of 2024, funding totaling 73 billion 355 million 700 thousand UZS was disbursed for local and international training camps based on requests from 20 sports federations and associations aiming for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as reported by UzA referencing data from the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
It has been highlighted that, in line with the presidential decree “On the comprehensive preparation of Uzbekistan's athletes for the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games and XVII Paralympic Games to be held in Paris (France) in 2024,” the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and sports federation organizations are systematically gearing up for the competition.
Furthermore, the government finances the mandated expenses of Olympic sports federations and associations, equipping athletes of the national team and providing for their health and biological needs, as well as covering associated costs for their involvement in high-profile tournaments and championships.
