Madalena Fischer appointed as Portugal's Ambassador to Uzbekistan
Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the new Ambassador of Portugal, Madalena Fischer.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Portugal.
“I wish Madam Ambassador great success in realizing and exploiting the vast possibilities of our bilateral relations during her diplomatic mission in our country," the head of Uzbekistan's Foreign Affairs Ministry wrote on his Telegram channel.
Uzbekistan and Portugal have had diplomatic relations since August 12, 1992. Last October, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held bilateral talks with Portugal's Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho in Luxembourg, which discussed reinforcing the political dialogue, enhancing and institutionalizing trade-economic and investment cooperation, and increasing cultural and tourism exchanges.
