One large leather cluster to be established in two regions of Uzbekistan

Foreign brands producing products from natural and artificial leather will be placed in ready-made projects in Sharof Rashidov and Akhangaran districts, subject to payment in 7 years.

Under the chairmanship of the President, a videoconference meeting was started on the issue of making the population employed and profitable by mobilizing the internal capabilities of the local industry network.

This year, the importance of establishing one large leather cluster in Sharof Rashidov and Akhangaran districts was emphasized.

In this, 40 million dollars of low-cost resources will be directed to the construction of an environmentally friendly water treatment plant and building. Foreign brands producing products from natural and artificial leather will be placed in ready-made projects here with the condition of payment in 7 years.

A system of covering up to 30,000 dollars of the costs incurred by the recruiting companies will be established for each enterprise attracted by a foreign brand.

Also, the task of starting 100 million dollar projects in 14 small industrial zones, and fully solving the land issue for planting nutritious crops in 11 livestock clusters was set.
