The ceremony was attended by employees and heads of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Sports, the NOC and the UFA, relatives of our athletes and representatives of the media.

The head of the department of the Presidential Administration, Odil Abdurakhmonov, congratulated our football players on the historical license for the Olympic Games, and also read out the congratulations of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Olympic team of Uzbekistan. The original congratulatory letter was handed over to the team's head coach Timur Kapadze.

In turn, Timur Kapadze and team captain Jasur Jaloliddinov said that they are proud of the trust of the head of our state and will now focus on preparing for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

It should be recalled that our team won a silver medal at the Asian Cup under 23, held from April 15 to May 3, and qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time in its history.
