Natural gas and electricity theft incidents surge in Uzbekistan's regions
In April, 549 instances of illegal use of energy resources were identified, with the highest number of violations recorded in the Samarkand and Tashkent regions.

During the control activities conducted by "Uzenergoinspeksiya" in conjunction with law enforcement, there were 539 instances of illegal use of natural gas and electricity identified in April.
During this period, 12 million 883 thousand cubic meters of natural gas were stolen, with the damage amounting to 19 billion 328 million UZS, and 41 million 241 thousand kWh of electricity, with the damage estimated at 39 billion 518 million UZS.
The highest number of illegal usages was recorded in the Samarkand, Tashkent, and Andijan regions.
Measures have been taken against the violating consumers as per established procedures, and relevant documents have been sent to law enforcement agencies.
