On this basis, close cooperation relations have been established in the directions of attracting highly qualified specialists and improving the qualifications of employees. Within the scope of cooperation:

1. Attracting highly qualified specialists;
2. Improvement of staff qualifications;
3. Practical training is provided.

According to the specified requirements, selection commissions consisting of representatives of US higher education institutions were established, and a 3-stage transparent system of recruiting professors and teachers to New Uzbekistan University was created. Based on this system, more than 500 candidates were considered, and 38 professors were recruited based on the university’s requirements.

Employees of New Uzbekistan University will systematically participate in master classes organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the areas of innovation support, creation of an innovation ecosystem, curriculum and science program development. To date, 18 employees and professors have participated in the listed classes and improved their skills.

In order to dramatically increase the scope of such master classes, from April 29 to May 2 of this year, New Uzbekistan University is organizing master classes in a number of areas such as educational management, modern pedagogical teaching methods, development of independent education, and effective research.

Master classes are conducted by the following specialists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology:

- Vijay Kumar – Senior Advisor to the Vice President;
- John Brizon – Head of the Department of Plasma Sciences and Thermonuclear and Director of the “MIT-SUTD” Cooperation Center;
- Josef Deyron – scientist of leadership and social sciences;
- Katerina Bagiati – chief research scientist for the STEM education program;
- Julia Reynolds – Deputy Director of Jameel World Education Lab.

The main part of the lessons is divided into groups and conducted through practical exercises based on real cases.

At the same time, an agreement was signed with MIT J-WEL on the expansion of cooperation, and New Uzbekistan University was recognized as the closest strategic partner of MIT J-WEL in Central Asia.

Now the students of New Uzbekistan University will have the opportunity to practice and improve their skills at the world’s number 1 university.

Students will be able to participate in classes organized by MIT professors and teachers, conduct scientific research, further develop their projects and conduct experiments in MIT laboratories.

Also, professors and teachers of New Uzbekistan University will undergo experience at MIT under the exchange program.

Accordingly, professors and teachers will be able to conduct scientific research together with MIT research scientists, exchange experience on various teaching methods, use the MIT database, and jointly organize various training seminars. 50 specialists from New Uzbekistan University and 200 other higher education institutions were involved in the skill classes.
