Mirziyoyev, Tokayev emphasize the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation
On April 5, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting in Khiva. Particular attention is paid to the issues of accelerating cooperation projects, implementation of investment agreements and trade contracts.

The heads of state heard reports from deputy prime ministers and co-chairs of working groups under the Intergovernmental Commission on the promotion of joint projects in such areas as mechanical engineering, energy, transport and logistics, mining, textile and food industries and other sectors.
Instructions were given to increase trade turnover, formulate a long-term program of industrial cooperation, as well as implement infrastructure projects in the fields of transport and energy.
The importance of starting practical work on creating an International Center for Industrial Cooperation this year and expanding the activities of a joint foreign trade company was noted.
The issues of developing humanitarian and tourism ties, holding joint events in the field of culture, education and sports with the participation of young people were discussed in detail.
An exchange of views took place on the rational use of water resources, deepening cooperation within the framework of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, as well as the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
