Uzbekistan’s ambassador visits leading industrial areas of southern Italy, presents economic potential of our country
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullayev visited Vasto and San Salvo, the leading industrial areas of the Abruzzo region in southern Italy.

As part of the trip, meetings were held with the mayors of these cities, the management of local industrial enterprises, and participation in various events.
In particular, a presentation of the industrial, trade-economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan took place at the association of enterprises “Abruzzo and Central Adriatic Confindustria”. The event provided information on improving the business environment in our country, as well as on the achievements of the textile, leather, footwear and mining sectors of the Uzbek economy.
Mayor of Vasto Francesco Menna highly appreciated the prospects for cooperation with Uzbekistan and proposed establishing sister city relations with the cities of our country.
The mayor of San Salvo, Emanuela De Nicolis, said that today her city has become the second largest industrial and tourist center in the province of Abrusso, while maintaining its traditional agricultural potential. She expressed interest in developing interregional cooperation with Uzbekistan.
Vice-President of the Association of Enterprises “Abrusso and Central Adriatic Confindustria” Alessandro Addari believes that the exchange of investments, technologies and knowledge between Uzbekistan and Italy, as well as the expansion of trade relations, are very promising, since the two countries have both sufficient experience and products of interest to each other for friend.
At the meetings, issues of establishing orderly labor migration and other areas and opportunities for interregional cooperation were also discussed.
