During the meeting, the parties confirmed mutual interest and intention to promote the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, and also discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts and events at various levels.
It should be recalled that Oybek Shakhavdinov arrived in Hungary on March 7 and is the first ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Budapest. He is a graduate of the University of Birmingham (UK), Tashkent State University of Law, and Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), he has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2001. He held various positions in the central office, the UWED, as well as the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels. Prior to his appointment, he worked as the head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
