As detailed by Uzbekistan Airports' press service, LOT Polish Airlines' inaugural regular flight took off for Tashkent from Warsaw's airport on the 13th of March at 22:55. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 of the Polish carrier landed in Tashkent at 09:00 local time, following a six-hour journey.
The ceremony marking the launch of this new air route was attended by Tashkent airport's director, Jasur Pulatov, LOT Polish Airlines' CEO, Michał Fijoł, the Uzbek Ambassador to Poland, Amirsaid Agzamhodjaev, the Polish Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Radosław Gruk, representatives from Uzbekistan's Ministries of Transport and Culture, the Tourism Committee, and members of the media.
Taking into account the interests of Uzbekistani citizens, CEO Michał Fijoł noted, "We launched this route also considering the interests of citizens of Uzbekistan. From Warsaw Chopin Airport, which serves as a convenient transit point, passengers from Tashkent can reach almost 80 cities across Europe or North America available in our network."
Flights between Tashkent and Warsaw are scheduled to operate three times a week—Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The Polish carrier also announced plans for an additional flight on this route on Tuesdays with a scheduled return to Warsaw on Wednesdays in April and May.
Tickets for these flights can be purchased on LOT Polish Airlines' official website, www.lot.com, as well as at airline counters and travel agencies.
