UzAuto Motors announced an increase in prices for mass-produced Damas, Labo and Chevrolet Cobalt cars, the automaker’s press service reported.

“Taking into account that the additional volume that will be open for contracting will be produced in the second half of 2024, the cost of Damas, Labo and Chevrolet Cobalt cars will be adjusted within the range of 3.5-6.7%,” the statement reads.

New prices for Damas, Labo and Chevrolet Cobalt cars:

Cobalt GS-Style Plus MT – 133,598,000 soums (previously – 125,210,000 soums);
Cobalt GX-Style Plus AT – 156,589,000 soums (146,757,000 soums);
Damas D2 DLX Style Plus – 100,325,000 soums (96,932,000 soums);
Labo LB2 Plus – 98,779,000 soums (96,370,000 soums).

UzAuto Motors noted that late payment during the previous contract released part of the volume of 2024 production vehicles, which will allow the company to offer additional Damas, Labo and Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles. They promise to announce the opening date of the contract later.

In addition, the automaker plans to gradually introduce a new car sales system, which will provide dealers with the opportunity to buy cars for their subsequent sale. The company will set dealerships a recommended retail price for the vehicles.

“This approach not only stimulates competition between dealerships, but also improves the quality of service. Dealership centers have the opportunity to offer additional options and accessories, improving the quality of service and innovative services,” UzAuto Motors emphasized.

From the end of 2022, UzAuto Motors has suspended sales of mass segment models Cobalt, Lacetti, Damas and Labo. Since then, the company has reopened and suspended sales multiple times.

In October 2023, the automaker had already increased prices for Damas, Labo, Lacetti and Cobalt cars by approximately 5.1%.

At the end of December, the company suspended sales of Cobalt, Damas and Labo cars, contracting 171 thousand cars in three days – the entire production volume for 2024.
