On March 5, Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved measures designed to stimulate the cultivation of highly profitable and export-oriented agricultural crops, the Ministry of Justice reported.
The resolution provides for the specialization of districts in the production of agricultural products for export. Some areas will prepare seedlings, while others will organize their cultivation and processing.
By the end of the year, it has been ordered to create exemplary training and experimental sites for sowing in 54 districts. At their base, local residents will be trained to care for new crops.
The task has also been set to implement new projects on shock freezing of fruits and vegetables. They will be established on the territory of 51 districts specializing in agriculture and fruit and vegetable production.
Unsecured loans will be allocated for projects for growing products, except for planting crops. The maximum loan amount will be 100 million soums.
It is planned to lease ready-made greenhouses, refrigerated warehouses, as well as workshops for packaging, drying and processing of fruits and vegetables to the population. The property can be purchased within 12 months.
In addition, preparing vermicompost at home will be added to the list of permitted activities for self-employed people. On the Online-mahalla platform, data will be collected every 6 months on subsidiary farms, their use and the products grown.
To support subsidiary farms and dekhkan farms, targeted loans will be allocated at an interest rate higher than the Central Bank's base rate by 4%. The deadline will be:
• for cattle breeding, poultry farming, beekeeping, rabbit breeding, vermicompost production, construction of “field stores” – 3 years;
• for gardening, viticulture, creating lemonariums, building greenhouses, purchasing agricultural equipment, installing mobile refrigerators, digging artesian wells – 7 years.
Until 2027, customs duties for the import of motor cultivators, walk-behind tractors and mini-tractors will be zeroed out.
