The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution "On measures to regulate the export of fruit and vegetable products in the republic," which will come into effect on May 1, 2024. According to the established order, a system of monitoring contract values and oversight of how export prices are formed for a verified list of fruit and vegetable products set to be exported will be put into place.

A list of fruit and vegetable products for which recommended minimum export prices will be set is to be approved by the government commission based on proposals from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection, and the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

The recommended minimum export prices will be determined based on the following:

- Prices in foreign markets obtained from the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in foreign countries;
- Prices published by mass media (including open sources on the Internet) and informational-analytical publications;
- Export prices obtained from foreign trade companies as well as from the foreign missions of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade;
- Prices obtained based on queries sent to local and foreign traders and companies;
- The cost price of fruit and vegetable products, and wholesale and retail prices in the domestic market.

The export price for fruit and vegetable products will be set not less than 20 percent below the recommended decline.

If it is determined that the fruit and vegetable products' export prices are reduced more than 20 percent below the recommended price, the Customs Committee must, within 24 hours, report this situation through the electronic information exchange system to the Tax Committee and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.
