Blogger sentenced to 10-day imprisonment in Kashkadarya

By the decision of the Nishon district court on criminal cases dated February 21, 2024, he was found to have committed offenses under Article 183 (Petty hooliganism) and Article 184-3 (Preparation, storage or distribution of materials promoting national, racial, ethnic or religious enmity) of the Administrative Responsibility Code.

A 26-year-old blogger born in Kashkadarya region, temporarily unemployed, was sentenced to 10-day administrative imprisonment.

Two days later, Sardor Safarboyev’s complaint was considered by the criminal trial panel of the Kashkadarya regional court. The decision of the court of first instance was not changed, and the appeal was left unsatisfied.

Earlier, Nishon district court found the blogger Abdulkhakim Abjalilov guilty of extortion and sentenced him to 5-year imprisonment.
