In the Namangan region, tariff rates for cold water and sewer services are set to increase, as reported by the press service of the regional administration.
On January 30, Namangan region’s governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov discussed the new water and sewer tariffs with representatives of "Namangan Water Supply". At the meeting, sector specialists proposed setting the price for one cubic meter of water for the population at 4,000 UZS. However, the governor instructed to lower the tariff amount and reduce planned losses in the water supply system.
"Namangan Water Supply" has reviewed the new tariffs for water and sewer services, which were recently approved by the deputies of the Regional Council of People's Deputies.
The new tariffs per cubic meter of cold water (excluding VAT):
- For residential users: 3,500 UZS;
- For budgetary and other organizations: 7,000 UZS;
Tariffs for sewer services per cubic meter (excluding VAT):
- For residential users: 800 UZS;
- For budgetary and other organizations: 975 UZS;
According to a presidential decree, as of January 1, 2024, prices for cold water and sewer services will be determined based on the cost of the services.
Recently, "Uzsuvtaminot" announced an increase in tariffs for cold water and sewer services in the Khorezm, Syrdarya, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Bukhara regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the city of Tashkent.
"Uzsuvtaminot" justified the tariff increase by citing the need to cover employee salaries, tax payments, electricity costs, loan repayments, and funds required for the repair and modernization of the system.
