This year it is planned to allocate 1.5 trillion soums to increase infrastructure capacity in industrial zones, the presidential press service reports.

On February 19, at a meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to develop 600 hectares of land in the Kashkadarya region by installing additional pumps and chutes along the Mirishkor canal. This will make it possible to establish the cultivation of castor beans and the production of oil from them, creating 1.4 thousand new jobs.

Solar panels will be installed in unused areas near industrial enterprises to generate additional energy and reduce the load on the energy system of Uzbekistan.

In addition, there was a positive impact on the activities of enterprises from tax and customs benefits provided by presidential decrees and decisions. In particular, customs benefits for the import of dyes have led to a reduction in the cost of knitted fabrics, shirts, suits and trousers.

The head of state approved the proposal to extend the validity of some customs and tax benefits, giving instructions on improving the relevant regulatory documents.

Responsible persons were instructed to identify growth points for all 208 districts and cities and prepare projects aimed at increasing incomes of the population.
