On February 15, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received the credentials of ambassadors from eight foreign countries, including Uzbekistan.
The new head of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission Rahmatulla Nazarov presented his credentials to Lukashenko in a solemn ceremony.
During the talks following the event, the President of Belarus emphasized the importance of comprehensive ties with Uzbekistan, which is regarded as a strategic partner in Central Asia. He expressed gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the recent warm reception and substantive dialogue, which will result in the implementation of new breakthrough projects and the development of interregional connections.
"I am confident that you, Mr. Ambassador, as someone who has worked in Belarus and is well-acquainted with our country, will be fully engaged in the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, applying all your knowledge and experience to strengthen bilateral ties," said Lukashenko.
It should be noted that prior to his appointment in Minsk, Rahmatulla Nazarov served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
