"The increase is due to the increase in the prices of electricity, gas, drinking water and sewerage services, as well as heat energy purchased for heat-producing enterprises," the report said.
The new retail tariff for heat supply and hot water supply services to the population has increased by 15% and amounts to 105,754 soums/Gcal.
The new tariffs will come into force one day after the official end of the 2023-2024 autumn-winter season (heating season).
Previously, tariffs for legal entities and budget organizations were increased from December 2, 2023. These prices remain unchanged.
It should be recalled that starting from July 1, 2022, the French company Veolia started working as the sole operator of the heat supply of the city of Tashkent on the basis of public-private partnership. Currently, 90% of heat production in Tashkent is contributed by the unitary enterprises "Tosh elektromarkaz" and "Toshkent elektromarkaz", 10% is produced by "Veolia" itself and 100% of heat is supplied to the population.
