Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the decision on the expansion of the Urgut Free Economic Zone.
Vacant non-agricultural plots in the Nurabad district, covering a total area of 40 hectares, are to be incorporated into the zone.
The regional administration has been instructed to make the corresponding amendments to the cadastral data within a week. After that, the new plots will be put on an online auction for sale to businesses.
Previously, the Urgut FEZ expanded in November 2021 by 580.8 hectares, including 273.6 hectares of agricultural land. In addition, all enterprises in the Urgut district that produce high-tech products for export and import substitution were equated to participants of the zone.
