Uzbekistan’s new ambassador presents credentials to the King of Belgium
On February 7, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov presented his credentials to King Philippe of Belgium.

During a conversation following the official ceremony, King Philippe conveyed deep respect and warm wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties discussed prospects for further strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation. The current dynamics of the interaction between Uzbekistan and Belgium were highly assessed, stressing the need for more active use of the available potential to deepen cooperation across a broad spectrum of areas.
For information, Gayrat Fazilov arrived in Brussels on December 5, 2023. Prior to his appointment in Belgium, he served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
