Two people steal 1.3 billion soums from other people’s plastic card in Tashkent
Earlier, it was reported that the individuals who stole 460 million soums from plastic cards were arrested.

It was reported that unknown persons stole 460 million soums from a citizen’s plastic card in Tashkent, and two persons were arrested on charges of this crime.
According to the information of Tashkent city DIA, the persons caught as a result of the investigations obtained the personal data of other citizens and withdrew 832 million soums of money. In this way, they looted about 1 billion 300 thousand soums from citizens’ plastic cards.
“We shared the money. I paid off my debts myself, we bought necessary things for the house. It was stupid, but now I am regretting it,” the arrested person said.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these persons under Article 169 of the Criminal Code (theft). According to this Article, up to 15 years of imprisonment may be imposed by a court verdict.
