Eight Uzbek citizens died in a road accident in Russia

State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian MIA for the Penza Oblast

On January 11, at about 03:00, on the 504th km of the M-5 Ural federal highway in the area of   Fedorovka village, Nizhnelomovsky district, Penza Oblast, a fatal accident occurred involving a Volvo truck and a JAC minibus, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian MIA for the Penza Oblast reported.

According to preliminary data, the driver of a minibus (born in 1981) jumped onto the opposite lane and collided with a truck, driven by a driver born in 1991.

As a result of the collision, seven people in the minivan died at the scene. Another victim died in the ambulance, one passenger was hospitalized in serious condition.

Reportedly, all the dead were citizens of Uzbekistan.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated.
