Entrepreneurial activities of a number of officials who are founders or have shares in business entities have been restricted, the Anti-Corruption Agency reported.
It is noted that measures have been taken by the agency to eliminate the conflict of interests. In particular, the founding and management activities of the following officials in business entities have been terminated:
- Sherali Abdujabborov, Director General of the SUE “Central Securities Depository”;
- Anvar Sayfutdinov, governor of Tashkent city, Mirabad district;
- Abdushukur Sodikov, head of “National Anti-Doping Agency”;
- Dilshod Sarikhodjayev, head of the UE “Main Information Center”;
- Sanobar Nosirova, governor of Buston district, Andijan region;
- Dilfuza Samandarova, director of the SUE “National PR-Center”;
- Umid Mamadaminov, Deputy Minister of Energy;
- Abdulla Azizov, director of the Pharmaceutical Network Development Agency.
Earlier, Kun.uz announced an inquiry about the “businessmen-governors”. In this inquiry, it was reported that Sanobar Nosirova, governor of Buston district of Andijan region, and Anvar Sayfutdinov, governor of Mirabad district, have shares in business entities.
It should be recalled that the law “On State Civil Service” that came into force on November 10, 2022, includes restrictions on the completion of state civil service. In particular, a civil servant of the state has no right to engage in entrepreneurial activities, including to organize business entities, to be their founder (participant), to perform organizational-management, administrative-economic tasks in the business entity. Also, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 6, 1992, the employees of state authorities and management bodies are prohibited from engaging in business activities.
