Tariffs for cold water and sewerage to increase in Karakalpakstan
For the population, the price of a cubic meter of water will increase to 2,900 soums, for businesses – to 5,700 soums.

Tariffs for cold water and sewerage services will increase in Karakalpakstan from January 15, the Uzsuvtaminot press service reports.
New tariffs for cold water per cubic meter:
• for the population – 2,900 soums;
• for budgetary organizations – 5,700 soums (excluding VAT);
• for wholesale consumers – 5,700 soums (excluding VAT).
Tariffs for sewerage services per cubic meter:
• for the population – 1,400 soums;
• for budgetary organizations – 2,800 soums (excluding VAT);
• for wholesale consumers – 2,800 soums (excluding VAT).
Over the past three years, the coverage of centralized water supply in Karakalpakstan has increased from 61.5 to 70.5%, and sewerage – from 5.4 to 5.6%. In the next five years, Uzsuvtaminot plans to increase the level of drinking water supply to 89.7%, and sewerage to 24.6%. 5.9 trillion soums will be spent on the construction and reconstruction of water supply and sewerage networks.
According to the presidential decree, from January 1, 2024, prices for cold water and sewerage will be based on the cost of services.
At the end of last year, Uzsuvtaminot announced an increase in tariffs for cold water and sewerage in Khorezm, Syrdarya, Samarkand, Kashkadarya regions, as well as in Tashkent.
Uzsuvtaminot justified the increase in tariffs by paying employee salaries and tax payments, paying for electricity, repaying loans and the need for funds for repairs and modernization of the system.
