Businessman refunded 400 million soums illegally collected by tax authorities

An entrepreneur operating in the capital appealed to the Business Ombudsman complaining about the behavior of employees of the Tashkent city tax department.
It was found out that the tax department of Tashkent city conducted an internal tax audit, and nearly 400 million soums were withdrawn from the company’s account.
Based on the legal requirements sent to the tax authority regarding the issue specified in the application, conclusions were prepared by the tax authority on the return of 340.9 million soums of profit tax and 53.6 million soums of TADF (Tax Authorities Development Fund) to the company’s account and sent to the district treasury department. As a result, the funds were refunded to the company’s account.
