On December 15 of this year at 20:58 local time, the Batik Air airline board landed at Tashkent International Airport, performing the first flight on the route Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent – Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, a solemn ceremony was held at Tashkent airport, which was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan Airports, the Malaysian Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, journalists, air spotters, as well as the first passengers of the flight.
Regular flights on the route Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent – Kuala Lumpur will be operated on Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 aircraft once a week on Fridays. In the future, the air carrier plans to increase the frequency of flights and is also considering expanding the route network in the region.
