Plane en route New York – Tashkent makes emergency landing in St. Petersburg due to a violent passenger on board
The incident happened on December 11 at 07:35 Tashkent time on flight HY102 en route New York – Tashkent. The citizen of Uzbekistan (born in 1991) was removed from the flight by police officers.
Uzbekistan Airways, which flew from New York to Tashkent, had to make an emergency landing at St. Petersburg airport due to a passenger who was violent on board.
The incident happened on December 11 at 07:35 Tashkent time on flight HY102 New York – Tashkent. The captain of the Boeing 787 aircraft decided to land at an alternate airport en route. A problem on board was reported over the radio. The citizen of Uzbekistan (born in 1991) was removed from the flight by police officers.
After the necessary procedures are completed, the aircraft will continue its trip to the designated airport.
Flight HY102 is scheduled to arrive in Tashkent at 13:00 Tashkent time.
