Uzbekistan, OIC exchange views on developing a consolidated position of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Afghanistan
The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met yesterday with the Special Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan, Tariq Bakhit.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation a detailed exchange of views took place on the current situation in Afghanistan and the development of a consolidated position of the OIC member states.
The parties discussed the need to coordinate efforts in ensuring human rights, women and girls in Afghanistan, as well as providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people ahead of the winter period.
