Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan intend to join the European “green” energy corridor

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are interested in joining the “green” energy corridor to supply electricity from Central Asia to Europe, the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy reports.

On November 22, the head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, and the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjártó, discussed the issue of electricity exports to European countries.

In particular, electricity supplies are planned to be carried out along the Caspian – Black Sea – Europe energy corridor.

The parties also emphasized that cooperation in the energy sector will create a bridge between Azerbaijan and the EU passing through Hungary.

On November 14, representatives of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan discussed in Baku a project for the transfer of environmentally friendly electricity through the territories of the countries to consumers from third countries. The participants agreed to export electricity from Central Asia to Europe.
