Cold water tariffs increasing in Tashkent
The price of 1 cubic meter of drinking water has increased by almost 3.5 times.

New prices of tariffs for drinking water and wastewater services have been approved in Tashkent. Tashkent city council of people’s deputies made a decision about this.
According to the decision, the tariffs for one cubic meter of water were set as follows:
- The price of drinking water for the population is 1,400 soums (actually 400 soums), the price of waste water is 1,000 soums (actually 350 soums);
- For wholesale consumers, the price of drinking water is 1,400 soums (actually 400 soums), the price of waste water is 1,000 soums (actually 350 soums);
- For budget organizations, the price of drinking water is 1,400 soums (actually 400 soums), the price of wastewater is 1,000 soums (actually 350 soums);
- The price of drinking water for legal organizations is 3,000 soums (actually 1,000 soums), and the price of wastewater is 2,200 soums (actually 820 soums).
This decision shall enter into force 15 days after its official announcement.
It should be recalled that earlier, the price of drinking water for residents in seven regions increased from 850 to 2,800 soums.
