The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed decrees imposing sanctions on 147 individuals and 303 legal entities.
Uzbek enterprises and citizens are included in the list of sanctions.
In particular, Akkermann Cement CA (Akhangaran), Ahangarantsement JSC, as well as Narzieva Nargiza Erkinovna (born on June 30, 1984), Nosirkhodjaev Shohrukh Olimjonovich (born on September 7, 1980) were included in the sanctions list.
Restrictions include many measures, such as blocking of assets, prohibition of disposal of property, restriction of trade operations, suspension of economic and financial obligations, total or partial prohibition of transactions with securities.
The decree did not specify which laws the citizens and companies violated. However, President Zelenskyy in his evening video message accused those under sanctions of directly working for or aiding Russia’s aggression.
It is noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine must inform the competent authorities of the European Union, the United States and other countries about the application of these sanctions.
In addition to Uzbeks, citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Cyprus, Great Britain, Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland and Belarus were also subject to sanctions. Among legal entities, the list of sanctions includes companies operating in the aviation, construction and technology sectors, in particular, registered in Russia, Cyprus, the UAE and China.
