A criminal case was initiated against the head of the Taftish.uz site, Gayrat Aberaev. This was reported by the prosecutor’s office of Bukhara region. However, soon this message was deleted from the official Telegram channel of the regional prosecutor’s office.
It was reported that Gayrat Aberaev, as the head of the Taftish.uz site, deceived citizens living in Shofirkon district, took a large amount of money in exchange for solving their problems through the site’s pages on social networks, and used it for his personal needs.
In particular, in October 2020, Gayrat Aberaev, who belonged to the head of “Alibek Islam” LLC in Konimekh district, took $5,000 in exchange for the re-registration of 1,400 hectares of pasture land, which was later transferred to the balance sheet of the district livestock company, in the name of a farm, and spent it on his own needs.
Also, he promised to help citizen Q.K. return 1,800 hectares of pasture lands, which were taken from him to the reserve of the district administration, for which he received a total of $22,000.
In addition, he fraudulently obtained $5,000 from the citizen by saying that he would help his father I.S. get his son out of prison when the precautionary measure in the form of “detention” was applied to the citizen M.S. for the crime committed under Article 105 of the Criminal Code.
It is noted that Gayrat Aberaev obtained a total of $33,300 by deceiving citizens in this and other cases. For these actions, a criminal case was initiated against him and a preventive measure was applied in the form of “arrest” in absentia.
Currently, the investigation is being carried out by the Peshku district police department.
The prosecutor’s office did not say whether Aberaev was wanted or not. According to the requirement of the law, in case of imprisonment in absentia (when the accused is not arrested), a search warrant should be issued against him.
