The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has disqualified Sanjar Fayziyev for violating the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program.
The Uzbek man was found guilty of five charges of match fixing. Sanjar Fayziyev was disqualified for 3.5 years and imposed a fine of $15,000.
The sanctions began to apply on July 25, 2023, the date of the athletes’ temporary suspension. During the period of suspension, tennis players are prohibited from playing, coaching or attending any tennis events.
The ITIA also disqualified Israeli athlete Igor Smilansky for 2 years, and Kazakh athlete Timur Khabibulin, accused of 21 match fixings, was suspended for life.
