Doctors and teachers receive lowest average salaries in Uzbekistan – Statistics Agency
Over the past 9 months of the year, the lowest average salaries were recorded in the education and healthcare sectors. This trend has continued since 2019.

According to the Statistics Agency, in the ranking of average monthly salaries of industry workers for January-September of this year, education and healthcare workers remain in last place.
During the reporting period, employees in the field of finance and insurance received the highest average monthly wages (12.8 million soums), followed by IT specialists, whose monthly salaries were 10.3 million soums.
The salaries of teachers and healthcare workers were 3 million soums and 2.9 million soums, respectively.
The agency added that the average monthly salary in the country over the past nine months was 4.4 million soums.
According to the data between 2019 and 2023, the average monthly wage of teachers and doctors increased by almost 1.4 million soums, nevertheless, it remained the lowest.
