According to the information of the Prosecutor General’s Office, from February 7 to September 9 of this year, during raids aimed at identifying cases of law violations:
- 658 criminal cases and 29,163 administrative cases were initiated in connection with illegal use of energy resources;
- 158 billion soums of material damage were collected during the investigation period within the scope of criminal cases.
As the head of state noted at the videoconference meeting held in Bukhara, discipline in the consumption of energy resources has not yet been fully established. In the past seven months, 160 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 290 million cubic meters of gas were illegally used in the regions, and network enterprises suffered 355 billion soums worth of damage.
Energy and control organizations are now using much more advanced technologies. The launch of ASKUE and ASKUG systems, the introduction of modern and sophisticated devices increased the possibility of timely detection of illegal situations. In other words, using electricity or gas instead is not as easy as it used to be.
