Price of railway tickets to be increased in Uzbekistan
From October 20, the ticket price of passenger trains on local routes will be increased by 50%, and the full price of high-speed “Afrosiyob” electric train tickets will be increased by 100%.

Uzbekistan Railways announced that the price of passenger tickets in the passenger transport industry will be increased.
According to the official information, from October 20, 2023, the tariff part of the ticket prices of passenger trains on local routes will be increased by 50%, and the high-speed “Afrosiyob” electric train tickets will be increased by 100%.
It is noted that passenger train ticket prices were revised for the last time in 2018 on local routes, in 2019, on the high-speed electric train “Afrosiyob”, and the tariffs have remained unchanged for the past 4-5 years.
During 2019-2022 and 9 months of 2023, wages in the republic increased by 2.4 times, electricity and fuel prices, logistics and transport costs increased significantly. Also, changes are being made to ticket prices, taking into account renewal of passenger car fleets, purchase of new trains, maintenance of railway stations in accordance with modern requirements.
“Dear passengers, we express our gratitude for using the railway services and ask you to accept the reforms being carried out in the railway sector,” the report of Uztemiryulyulovchi reads.
